Mews House

A mews house taken back to its shell and rebuilt around light. Full-height sliding doors open the ground floor onto the garden, and the party wall was opened up to pull daylight through to the centre of the plan.

The stair is the piece that holds the house together — cantilevered treads with a frameless glass balustrade, engineered so nothing visible carries the load. Below it, a new basement adds a lounge and a Roman-style bathroom, underpinned and tanked by our own team.

The loft was converted at the same time, so the house gained two floors of usable space without touching its footprint. A roof terrace finishes it at the top.
