A family bathroom is a very different brief from a luxury en suite or a guest cloakroom, and each one needs to be thought through on its own terms — drainage falls, ventilation, storage, and how many people use it at eight in the morning.
The part nobody sees is the part that decides whether a bathroom lasts. We tank properly, set out tiling from the centre lines so cuts land where they should, and pressure-test before anything is closed up.
Done well, a bathroom is also one of the few rooms that visibly adds value if you ever come to sell — worth bearing in mind when weighing up the specification.
